Garnish & Gather Frequently Asked Questions

Each CSA week runs from Saturday through Friday.

We designed the week this way to give members the most flexibility—so you have time to shop, plan meals, prep, and enjoy your share over the weekend and throughout the week.

A new weekly availability email and Google Form will be sent at the start of each CSA week so you can see what’s available and plan your pickup(s).

Each “item” represents a standard unit of a product. For example:

1 quart of strawberries

1 pint of snap peas

¼ peck of apples

1 bunch of beets

1 head of lettuce

Each of these counts as one item toward your weekly share.

Small Gather Share: 6–9 items per week

Large Gather Share: 8–15 items per week

Each week, we organize available produce into categories. Category 1 is always a fruit option.

You are welcome to swap down to items in lower categories, but you may not swap up.

Example:

If strawberries are in a higher category and your family doesn’t enjoy them, you may choose extra potatoes or zucchini from a lower category. However, you cannot replace lower-category items with higher-category ones.

This system keeps shares fair while giving you flexibility.

No advance selection is needed.

Each week, we’ll email CSA members a new Google Form listing what’s available for that CSA week. When you visit the farm and pick up items for your share, you’ll submit the form to record what you take.

Because shares can be picked up over multiple visits during the week, please submit the Google Form each time you pick up items, even if it’s more than once in the same week.

The form can be submitted anytime during the CSA week

It can be completed from anywhere (on your phone or computer)

If needed, a paper form will be available at the Garden Gazebos

Submitting the form each visit helps us accurately track shares while keeping pickup flexible and easy.

Yes. You may share a CSA with a friend or family member. You can alternate weeks or coordinate pickups—just be sure you can both keep track of what’s been taken from the weekly share. ($15 charge for additional tote bag)

You won’t lose your share.

If you know you’ll miss a week, you may:

Gift your share to someone else, or

Double up on a future week (one time per season)

We ask that you communicate with us in advance so we can plan accordingly.

Yes! You’re welcome to have a friend or family member pick up your share. Just be sure they know how to record the pickup using the weekly Google Form. 

CSA members receive $1 off for every $10 spent on regularly priced items purchased in addition to their weekly share.

The discount applies to regularly priced items only

Items already on sale or discounted are excluded

Discounts cannot be stacked

Because the Garden Gazebo is self-serve, we ask members to use the honor system when applying their discount

Examples:

A $7 purchase does not qualify for a discount

A $10 purchase receives $1 off (pay $9)

A $18 purchase receives $1 off (pay $17)

A $20 purchase receives $2 off (pay $18)
